  • i for got how much fun racing can be

now i ain't taking nothing a away from east bay they keep you standing on your feet and put on one of best shows any were . but we went back to asphalt for a while with a sports man and a new jimmy cope modified . won couple races had little fun run good in 100 lap with first time dirt driver that had never drove asphalt modified , michael cherry he finished 7th place with best drivers in state .

but with my job i can't get home at 2 - 3am in morning now ain't knockin race track they are doing best they can

but we went to a race track this week end i had not been to in twenty years got there at 3..30 pm and pits were so full they had take golf cart go fine me 4 parking spots . now these people know how to run a race track . it.s like going back in time . the way it use to be friendly .kind starting on time getting show on road . if some one spun out they were off track and races were on

now they had full field of race cars and there were no junk . when one race was over another started . and then they asked for cars to come out on race track to pass out candy and meet people almost ever car in pits was on track in just few minutes

also no follow the leader they passed on outside no beating and banging and i was back in lakeland at home with race cars unloaded in garage . at home took shower in bed and had drove from citrus county speedway by midnight
