  • Frank Riddle Memorial

Wish I could be there this weekend... Here are a few shots of Frank from my collection... The b/w pic of Frank in Harry Campbell's #11 was taken on 2/2/77 at Golden Gate Speedway... The two color shots at The Gate in 1978 plus a great shot of Frank after winning the feature at Orlando Raceway on 3/14/69 in Willard Smith's #3 with a bolt-on cage... I'm sure the memories will be flowing tomorrow night...

That is good stuff that Dave and Jim posted. The race at DeSoto Speedway last night was excellent. The TBARA, past and present, put on awesome races!

Man, that Ancrdave guy sure loves those Sprint Cars, past and present, in one form or another, on and on!
And that's pretty cool, as there is alot of history to be brought forth.
Myself, never really thought of them a whole lot, but from Midgets to Sprints, and onward to all open wheel racing, this is the racing-type machine that brought all of racing from back then to what it is today, (save Carolina back-woods running stock cars).
Just take a look at the Sprint Car Racing Hall Of Fame Inductees, and there you will get a sample of what Ancrdave, and history, has to offer.

So it looks like Dave Steele won, as I would expect in a long distance race, and Wendy came home fifth. Good for her! That might be her best finish of the season.

Glad Wendy did good too,Gary Gimmler had a quik car and led early laps,19 Butler had big lead till he broke on lap 43 I think .Steele didn't realize he dropped out of race.
