Although I too believe a sprint car will turn left if you simply let go of the wheel, the fact is, Tony did not do that, he kicked the throttle.

The question is...why? It will be difficult to prove that his intent was anything other than to miss the kid.

You assume he gassed it. I think that's a car closer to the camera. Watch the video with the sound turned down and an open mind. It looks to me like the guy in front barely misses the guy and Tony tries but can't. Put me in the idiot category that thinks the kid is at fault. I wanted it to be Tony because he's such an ass, but it isn't his fault.
