Buddy Emory has been a regular on the Whelen Southern Modified Tour. However a serious accident earlier this year wiped out his car.
However Emory rejoined the tour this past weekend at Caraway Speedway until the rains came and washed out the scheduled 150 lap race.
Look for Emory to be in the next race in Winston Salem on August 2nd at Bowman Gray Stadium, home of the Advance Auto Parts 199.

Bowman Gray Stadium

Before I retired, I had business in the area of Bowman Gray Stadium from time to time, when I got stuck over a weekend, I started going there for my race fix.
At first, I thought it was too small for a decent race... BOY, was I wrong.. some great racing for sure... there was some follow the leader, but when you get a hot shot driver out there, the passing would start as well as the excitment. I enjoyed that place and will return if ever in the area again.
