Its been a tough all around week for driver Dexter Canipe Jr.
Canipe drivng the Gary Lambert Cars Plus Chevy had things going his way in the Super Cup Stock Car Race. He was leading the race and pulling away in the race which was at his home track. However bad luck got him when the engine just lost power.
His father Dexter Sr., a former national champion in NASCAR late model stock suffered a heart attack earlier this week but is now resting comfortable at home. It was Canipe Jr. that won an exhibition race at Hickory last year while his dad finished third in the other exhibition race at Tri County two weeks later while Jr. was at the beach.
