Can Anyone ID This Driver 2?

OK sports fans, here’s another one for ya.

Name either one of these two drivers. (standing center)

Here’s some clues that will just about give this away:
Place: Sunshine Speedway
Year: 1979 – 1980
Class: Figure Eight

I know the guy’s name on the right however I don’t know him personally as I do the shorter guy on the left. The guy on the left used to work for me at the time as a heavy equipment operator.

Whoa! Where's all those Figure-8 fans I used to see pop-up on here all the time back on the old board??

I'll even take one out of two here sports fans.

More clues: My old friend on the left flies a pretty mean RC Plane and the last time I spoke with him he and his bride were still terrorizing the streets of Largo on their respective choppers. ( Yes, his & hers).
