That of course is Dumont Smith who was originally from NC which is where he started racing... He had race cars when he was not old enough to legally race and Curtis Turner drove for him a few times... This will be the 40th anniversary of Dumont winning the Florida Governor's Cup race in 1967... -

Dave I can not post on the other board. It just well not let me on. But the photo spread of the Deland Drive In Raceway is realy cool. The upper right hand photo is of Jimmy Stroud a Deland fireman and the First Late Model Champion at NSS when it was a dirt track.Comment
