one of my closest friends passed last night of unknown causes, was only in his 50s. He attended the feb 26 Desoto race with me. he didn't race but the rest of his family did. father, the late Benny Moore won many times . brother Steve raced and his nephew Tim won last month at NSS.

I didn't know Phil very well but I've raced with Steve back in the day and knew Benny very well.

Gary...sorry for the loss of your friend and racing buddy, Phil. I remember seeing him with you at Desoto that night. My Dad raced against his dad years ago, also. Seemed like there were always a lot of Moores racing back then...always wondered if they were all related. Again, sorry for your's and the Moore family's loss.
