Billy Cuddy's letter points EXACTLY to a problem that should have been fixed, and I believe could have been fixed. Here is a local team who fields several cars in a 2 or 3 classes, their equipment is always professional looking and very competitive. These guys bring a lot to the show, and we really need that at OSW.

It is also true that they conflict followed them for a few years. IMHO, some of it was the normal scrutiny of winning cars, but I am also sure that some of the problems became personal.

I'm speaking for no one except myself, but I truely believe that a sit down meeting between someone in authority from the track and this team could have fixed this. The problems took place in 2009, 2008 and in previous years. They needed to hear that tech procedures and personnel have been realigned since then, and to hear if the rules have been clearified, and most importantly that they would get a fair deal from everyone at the track. Of course it has to go both ways: the team has to follow the rules too.

If someone from FASCAR tried this, then I thank them and have to shrug my shoulders while a local team hits the road and drives by the track. I wouldn't know if anyone tried or not, but I have an idea they didn't.

We've raced out there for years and not even a phone call from the track, I was over teched last year. Those of you that were at OSW last year know that whether you like us or not. We've always pasted tech (except for the 1/2 cc deal). When they let the pit stewart harrass me for hours about my starter, when Butch and Carl both told him that they ok'ed this starter last year, it's unprofessional. What kind of business lets the help grind a personal ax with a customer, one that's probably gonna fail. Donny is the pit stewart, Carl was tech, it was not Donny's place to tech me on that starter, and even after Butch and carl told him he still harrassed me for hours. We put alot of time and money in our cars to play by the rules, I drove all the way to north Florida to paint Columbia, I painted NSS 4 times, plus painted the concession area, and OSW wall 7 or 8 times, plus painted the concessions and sidewalks, I never received $1 for any of that, and I never wanted it I just wanted to help our track. I've also picked up trash out there. What my point is, if they run off someone as dedicated as we were it is probably destine for failure.

A few more things that I forgot as I was writing before just to show how dedicated we were, I've sponsored races, donated money for the strictly stocks, sponsored laps and stuff for the charity race, bought a camera so they could upload pics to the website.I have taken my car to numerous promotions and sometime I was the only one who showed up. We put alot of effort in it just to leave there mad at night.

Robert or somebody in the office has it. probably both.

FASCAR never had a problem coming up with the phone number when they wanted something painted.

and while this has nothing to do with Rick Bristol, it's instructive that FASCAR doesn't have the phone numbers for their 2008 ( Bobby ) and 2009 ( Billy ) class champions to hand.

he still harrassed me for hours.

i probably shouldn't mention the chassis dyno here...

                          Try This

You could also try SHERWIN WILLIAMS paint store the new one on hwy 50. They were going to run the Sherwin Williams bus but had to go out of town.
