  • Our friends need our prayers

Dick and Kay Stone have been our track chaplains here for years and they need our thoughts and prayers. They are on vacation in Indiana and Dick has had a pretty bad heart attack. After a few failed procedures they are taking him to a great hospital in Indianapolis where he will get the best of care and will undergo a bypass on Monday. Lets keep them in our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. These are some of the nicest people you would ever meet and volunteer their time here and we thank them all the time for that. Get well soon Stoney!!!

Kay called me earlier and Dick is in good sprits, but his condition is Serious.
We have put him on our prayer list and I would encourage others that are involved with prayer chains please do the same. Thanks Bob....

For those of you that have never met Dick and Kay they are two of the greatest people that you will ever meet. I first met Dick about 3 years ago when i first started going to Charlotte, they would go out of there way to come by and ask you how you were doing, how your car was running, and how your family was, but best of all is when he would come up rest his hand on you and ask your permission to say a prayer. The first race i ever won at Charlotte, he met me on the front stretch to congratulate me on my victory. The storm ministries sticker that i have on my car, was compliments of stoney. Now i may not be no saint but i do believe in the POWER OF PRAYER. These are two of the finest people that you will ever meet so im asking that all of you please take the time to send the Stone Family Your Prayers and Best Wishes.

                  Up Date on Stoney!

I just talked to Kay and Dicks spirits are good. The are deffently going to move him to Indianapolis Monday and do the surgery Tuesday or Wedsneday.
In all probability he will have Quadruple bypass. He has 2 arterys 100% blocked and at least 1 80% another is in question. So we need to continue to pray for Dick an Kay. As Tony said they are the nicest people you'd ever want to meet, and they are genuinely concerned with your well being. They love racing and racers. Punta Gorda Speedway is a large part of their lives.
Praying for the track and its employees, drivers, pit crews fans and PHOTOGRAPHERS is a blessing to them. I will update you as I hear from Kay. Thanks Bob.....

                    Update on Stoney.

He made it thru a tough 8 hour surgical bypass today and is in ICU. Kay said he is not out of the woods yet but its looking up. He will be in ICU for a few days then hopefully he will be on the road to recovery. I'll keep you posted in the coming days.
