  • Choquette?

Saw it mentioned under another thread and wanted to float it out on is own. Anybody know what he is doing these days? I saw Gary Fountain was signed up to run the FAST race in the 33.

Still no answer Bubba. I guess no one knows. He just fell off the face of the Earth. I researched Fountain and it seems to be a rental ride?

Last I heard he was living up in North Carolina.

The Fountain deal is pretty much a rental ride, but to the best of my knowledge Choquette wasn't renting it. I think it was one of those deals where Choquette was a hired gun to show off the potential of the equipment so Fountain could get some rental drivers.

I heard all of that second hand, so take it for what it's worth.

I like Choquette, back when I still went to late model races, and think it's a shame he hasn't got any further. He'd probably make a damn fine ARCA driver, but that series is the epitome of the rent-a-ride business these days.

If he is truly without a ride/sponsor, that is a hard to fathom. One of the best I have seen in a while. I recall at the Derby last year, he was putting on a clinic coming through the field and got caught up in someone else's mess. Hope he gets a ride for that one anyhow.

Absolutly right, started 19th and was up to 4th or 5th and was taken out by a lapped car. Was great to watch!
