  • Little boy needs your prayers

My new grandson was born January 9th and is having problems. He was a c-section baby and was born with too much fluid in his lungs and now has pneumonia. The mom is beside herself and my son does not know what to do. Right now he is at Cape Canaveral Hospital on Cocoa Beach but if he is not improved today, they will have to send him to a different level hospital.
The parents have not been allowed to hold him, only touch him slightly and not very often which is killing the mom. She thinks if she can only hold him, that will make him well but he has an iv in his head and oxygen and that just isn't allowed at this hospital.

I know people frown on asking for prayers on a message board but this little baby, Kaden, needs them right now and so do Ashley and Josh. Bob and Rick, I know that you have prayer lists and you added my friend Julie last year and prayers definitely helped her. If you can, add Kaden, Josh and Ashley and help give them extra strength right now. My family and Ashley's are praying hard but extra ones never hurt.

    Thank you
    Jane

When two or more are gathered in His name, He will be in our midst. I know this works over the phone. I bet it works in a virtual community like this too.

Thanks everyone, I know the prayers will help. The doctor had hoped his breathing would be stable enough for mom and dad to hold him if nothing else just for a minute but it did not. However they were allowed to finally sit with him for awhile and touch him. Since the pneumonia has set in, he will be in the hospital for awhile but we have high hopes that he will be home soon. I will keep you updated on his condition as much as possible.

Jane, I just got home and saw your post. I have prayed and will get our prayer group to pray as well. I am working a motocross this week end but in the morning when our team gets together to pray your grandson is on the top. As Boneman, I think mentioned above where 2 or 3 are gathered in his name he is in their mitce. We are here and God is the great healer. When you get time, let me know how Julie is. I have felt in my spirt that she is better.
But we haven't quit praying for her. May God Bless....... Bob.....

Ashley was finally allowed to hold Kaden for a few minutes today. My son was too scared with all the ivs in his head but hopefully he will get over that tomorrow. Kaden was able to drink from a bottle which is a good sign and no more feeding tube. Each day is better thanks to all the prayers.

Kaden is doing better but still in the hospital. He has lost down to 5 lbs. 7 ozs. but we are allowed to hold him now which I did yesterday for about 3 hours. He is not eating enough so they won't release him until he does. Mom and dad are okay, just worn out and really wanting to take him home. Prayers have definitely helped and Ashley and Josh said to thank everyone. Now I am off to the hospital to see him.
