Although this guy has raced SLM, and just about all other classes at some point, I didn't get to know him until recent years when he has been in lower divisions like Super Stock and Sportsman. In fact, he also traveled the country winning enduros for many years. So when it comes to passing and making unusual equipment work, my hero is Ron McCreary. He is one of the most entertaining drivers to watch, but is determined and skilled when you race against him.

I would have to say David Rogers. Not only does he have agreat record against some good drivers around here, but the 1994 Winston national champ (the only one to go undefeated that I know of), and many good runs back in the grand national days. He can save his car until just the right time like almost no one else. Just my two cents...

As a kid, I always looked forward to watching Robert Hamke, Bobby Brack, Billy Barnwell and Larry "rodeo" Regero duke it out every saturday night. In recent years, I have been more interested in dirt. I always catch myself watching Ivadent Lloyd no matter where he is running on the track.

I'll say I have to agree on the dirt, Harvey was great through the 60's 70's 80's and 90's!! What a career after loosing his brother in a racing accident in the earlly 60's. I think his name was Hueland Jones? Rick Coody
