62 now, and still a good chance at some big names like Frankie Schneider, Will Cagle, Lee Osbourn, George Kent, Bentley Warren, and working on Billy Pauch, Alan & Danny Johnson, Kenny Brightbill, Bryan Osgood, and many more.

The Vintage racers have been very enthusiastic also. Thre are about 20 entered right now, and I expect that to nearly double by event day. There are a few Vintage events planned earlier in the same week, and many people have promised to spread the word at those other events.

    Still hammerin at it!

Make sure you call in a "sick" day on February 15th, from Noon til 5:00, and then catch a 5 division program that night at New Smyrna Speedway.

Plus, I have to throw out a HUGE Thanks to Boneman, for designing and maintaining the web-site. Less than 1 month ago, we were surprised to find out we had just over 2000 hits on the site. Now it is getting close to 4400. Could never have done this without you Rex...!

I didn't mean to slight anyone else by only thanking Rex. I've also had a lot of help and cooperation from Kim Brown, Mark Keeler, Carol Wicks, Mark Southcott (Buffalo NY), RealRacinUSA for bringing the radio show out, Terry Roberts and the New Smyrna crew, John Gross who will be bringing the Slot Car Speedway for us all to take a few laps with, the DAARA club for their participation, and countless people from all over the US for encouragement and offers to help in any way.

This started as a dream, but with everyone's help, it WILL be a reality.

    THANK YOU ALL..... Jerry!

WOW Jerry, what a list. This would be a great stop on the way to Daytona for the 500 race. Don't forget we are bringing the NAPA 15 car and I already changed the gear to do some laps at NSS if possible. Looking forward to this great event and seeing Buzzy again.

RIP Jack Smith and Kim Brown. Many thanks for all you have done for our sport.

Is there anyone going that way that could drop me off at the hotel... Thanks!

A special thank you to.... LEW BOYD !

i would like to specially thank LEW BOYD for all of his help. A few years ago I was privileged to contact Lew up in Boston to purchase a book by Bugsy. He took alot of time talking to me and i hated to hang up. this man is so awesome, so interesting, so warm and kind! he is a veteran racer and also owns a publishing co/book store called Coastal 181...
Lew has given me so many leads on how to contact people and he has been our honored guest on Inside Fl. Racing. He is never too busy to talk to people.
so Lew...THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. without knowing it you renewed a huge part of my lifes most fun memories at Norwood Arena... You helped me to give Jerry (Frasson) valuable information allowing us to put together this wonderful event honoring you and many other great racing people from years gone by...God bless and keep you safe Lew... you guys who plan on being at the reunion, make sure you search out and meet LEW BOYD! you will make a life long friend!

Latest entry... Kenny Meahl... a long-time winner on both Asphalt & Dirt from Western NY. His proudest moment (his words), was setting quick-time in a field of well over 100 at Lancaster (NY) Speedway.... a race I was lucky enough to attend as a kid.

I'm sure it was a cool moment for him, but there are still a bunch of wins and championships that go along with his career also. He has a lot to be proud of, not just the pole for a big race!

Looking Great Jerry. We will be there but with Dirt Tires on. Will change the rear gear and let someone take the car if not myself around the track.
See you then, planning on getting in about 9:30 am so If you need some help just come a knockin.

New addition... Dick Kluth. Has been racing for approx. 48 years now, and the whole family has followed right along. His son Rick is an accomplished racer in his own right, and each of his 2 daughters also married racers.

This family is a great example of how racing can bond a family for a lifetime!

We had a good laugh on the phone about Motor homes & enclosed trailers. In his day, it was more like open trailers and sleeping in tents or the back of the station wagon getting to the next race.

Dick Kluth was never a big winner up there, but he was more dedicated than anyone. After about 22 years of trying, he finally got that first win. He's had a few since then, but the dedication has never slowed down.
