Whats there to be jealous of? Someone who had to work an "angle" to get backing? There is no pride in that to me. I could really care less if she is racing or not. I simply stated a fact that in racing today there are rewards for being female or a race other than white. "NASCAR drive for diversity". They can do as they wish, but in the process they lost my respect for that. Giving someone a pass for their gender or race is disgusting to say the least. I dont see an NBA or NFL drive for diversity so some white guys can get in. If so it would be called "racist".

I am not trying to start a big war. Todd your right she did go out and get sponsors but that’s what race car driver do and yes most of the time a girl will get a sponsor over a guy hell you can ask Dawayne Bryan and he will tell you he has won a ARCA race and his car just set in the shop most of the year due to the lack of sponsorship but that just life its not her fault. i haven't said anything about her. in fact, i know nothing about her, this is the first i've heard of her.

i was just commenting on your ad hominem assertions vs the people in the thread who weren't pleased to hear about it.

although i've already observed a couple of these situations where the girl had all of her sponsors secured by her parents/friends or, like Steve Wallace, are being totally financed by the parents i'm not saying that Allie didn't 'work hard'.

i will ask what the heck sponsorship procurement has to do with driving ability.

there have always been men at the top levels of NASCAR who didn't belong there ( Buckshot Jones, Steven Wallace, etc ) but who were just buying their way into the show. this normally isn't that big of a deal because they DID pay some sort of dues at the lower levels ( usually won by paying for a big motor and then couldn't succeed once they got to a level where they couldn't outspend everybody ) and they usually don't get or keep much in the way of sponsor dollars.

but most of this thing with minorities is being driven by sponsors who don't know anything about racing and just view it as a new market they can soak and media people who are all wrapped up in liberal quota crap.

dale jr didn't tear up the short tracks as a beginner either 3 wins between 94 and 96 in a street stock. Thats all it took for him to land a busch ride and look at him now the sports biggest star and a pretty good driver too. In today's world of racing a driver has to be marketable from thier they can learn. I agree she has the chance she has because she is a female but if the chance came your way would you not take it. only a fool wouldn't. Like I said before don't hate the player hate the game. Will she succeed doubtful. But she sure can't do it from the house on the couch watching it on tv with is where all us will be.

okay, so she wrecked out.

I told you, I wouldnt let her drive my wheel barrel. And just so everyone knows jealousy has nothing to do with it. I watched this girl bring out a caution ALMOST everytime she raced in a late model, plus she wrecked a couple of friends. Flat drove right into the back of them.
