I absolutely cannot believe you remember the Florida City "push cars"! Amazing! Man, we thought we were some hot stuff with our home-made cars, and couldn't wait until Saturday night. Of course today we would be in 8 Cyl. kiddie trucks, but in 1973 we used orange crates, rope and junk wheels to make something.

Yes, the long-legged "locals" were tough to beat, but good fortune smiled on me. Remember, those were the days of school bussing, so as fate would have it, one of my friends from school was a guy who lived 100 yards from the track. Yes, he got bussed 20 miles each way to the white school, but he also hooked me up with some higher horse power motors in the push car races!

Afr- I did drive for Scott in the 22 car at east bay the last time I drove it was 6/22/01 we won that night and the next weekend I got married and moved to Indy for a year that was the last time I was at east bay my uncial Bob and I was talking about going in Feb.

I can’t wait for Ocala to open if I can get Mike to tell me what tires I need to set my car up.
