Well its done. It took 13 hours to upload. My computer has its tounge out.
It is approximately 39 minute long. Its probably going to buffer a lot, but if it buffers a lot, little green pin wheel turning. and you want to watch it straight thru, get it playing and pause it for about 15 minute and it will most probably play all the way thru. This is my fist attempt at putting a long race up so I'll see how it goes if no one wants to watch that long I'll know to put up shorter stuff. Let me know if you like it, that will encourage to put more up. Enjoy it. Bob....

Good stuff, the bodies were pretty impressive back then. Sideboards on the front air dam, etc. More wild than I recalled.

I love the different body styles. It is so boring looking at the everyone looks the same cookie cutter bodies of today.

          1985 Governors Cup

Who won that race? Didn't see the end.
Was that Butch Miller in the #52, and Ed Howe in #85

Mike Eddy was in the 85. I think the previous year was the last year Howe drove.

              that's what i'm talkin' about!

Sheet metal gone wild, even the worst looking machine back then looks finer than an ABC car today.

#32 is Northen Indiana's Denny Nyari.

Jimmy did you see ya'lls car? A lot of hot dogs in that race. Yes Butch Miller won that race. I can't remember who was in the #28 but he got 2nd. Dick Trickle was there, Dick Anderson, Jimmy cope I think. I loved those old body's. They were real race cars. Now lets take a little survey. Was that too long for here? I was thinking it was 39 minutes long but by the time it uploaded it was 31 I think. I cut about 20 minutes out of it but I left all the good racing. Let me know what you think. I have the Seafest from that year I think I'll get it the first of next week. Thanks Bob...

The 28 was Bigley; he didn't run second. Bigley got tore up earlier in the race. The 75 ran second; that was Breakfield.

And yep, our car shows up a lot in the video :-) We were the silver car on the outside lane trying to stay with the leaders. We ended up just a couple of laps down if I remember correctly. Now *that*...was a good quality field of cars there...hard to beat a lot of them guys!

I didn't see Anderson there that year. Any idea of about where he might show up in the video (time mark)?

Oh - and NOT too long at all! Just right! ;-)

I posted a complete list of drivers in the field in the other thread I'll copy and paste it here as well:

                  green #85 - Mike Eddy
                  red #72 - Butch Smith
red #10 - <can't remember the guy's name...I believe he was a former ARCA champion out of Ohio>
                  blue #7 - LeRoy Porter
black #75 - Dave Breakfield (Nelson Bros.)

                  orange #63 - Dave Yow <?>
                  black #74 - Mike Borghi <?> Hamke's car, I believe
silver #III - Bryan Wescott (our car; the car that gets loose in the middle of the field in turns one and two on the first lap)
                  white #71 - Dave Dunkin
yellow #14 - Frank Gawlinski out of Chicago

                  blue #47 - Butch Yoakum
dark green #127 - Kenny Vaughn
white #79 - Bobby Dotter, Jr.
black #1 - I wanna say Larry Moyer, but not sure
                  white/red #73 - Dennis Langston
orange/red #2 - looks to be John Josey (Bud Josey's son); could also have been Wayne Bowman's first year in a Late Model
yellow #58 - Marty Hasty (in the Screamin' Banana) (doesn't show up until after halfway break)
Not quite sure if I spotted Jim Childers in a silver and blue #22; kept seeing one car I just couldn't quite identify (camera didn't stay on it long enough).

I must be doing something wrong, too. When I click the link, it takes me to a page that says Motionbox has been acquired by HP.
