FAST 100 at Desoto Off to a Good Start

Twenty Late Model entries showed up for practice and pre-race activities tonight at Desoto Super Speedway. Among the early entries were rookie point leader Austin Kirkpatrick, Jeff Scofield, Kyle Maynard, series point leader Wayne Anderson, Randy Anderson, Danny Foster, Alan Bruns, David Green, Tyler Laing, JR McMickle, Todd Allen, Patrick Starapoli, Brad Bischoff, Jeremy Gerstner, Jessica Murphy, Travis Hanson, Anthny Campi, Joy Boyd, and Chad Allman.

Additional entries are expected for tomorrow's event, the fifth in the FAST series' 2010 schedule, with qualifying set for 6:00 pm tomorrow (Saturday). The 100-lap Late Model feature is tentatively set to go green at 9:00 Saturday evening.

Jeff Scofield sets fast time at Desoto

Jeff Scofield sets fast time for FAST 100 at Desoto Super speedway with a 14.681 sec. (91.956 mph) lap. Series point leader Wayne Anderson was second at 14.709 (91.780), followed by Travis Hanson (14.758 – 91.476)), Joe Boyd (14.774 – 91.377), Blake Koch (14.779 – 91.346), and Steve Dorer (14.797 – 91.420). Jeff Scofield wins FAST 100 at Desoto

Fast-time qualifier Jeff Scofield, starting from the pole, captured the FAST 100 at Desoto for his second win in the 2010 FAST series. Steve Dorer took second place, followed by Anthony Campi in third and series point leader Wayne Anderson in fourth. Joe Boyd rounded out the top five. Rookie points leader Austin Kirkpatrick finished 17th, but held on to his point lead over 6th place finisher and Rookie of the Race Randy Anderson.
