Hey Bob, Thats 85 or 86, I'm pretty sure it's 86. Worked on several of those cars and I think I knew every one of them, what a great "Blast From The Past". I was racing that night in "The Colonel" Mike Anderson's 301 Auction Mod. Mini Mercury Capri.(say that 3 times fast!) LOL!! Margie Nanney, Willie Tetter, John Osteen, and Don Nerone were at the track then along with Roby and T.R. That was some really fun years!!! THANKS BOB!! Rick
Yeah Rick I remember when you drove for Big Mike. Man those were the days.
I may check out this racers reunion.com. It sounds like something I'd be interested in. I am glad you are enjoying these oldys. I am certainly enjoying sharing them. That late model race I put up had Gene Connel in his #96. I think it was a new car that year. It sure looked good. Ran like a scalded ape too. Eddie Kings 6 cyl Ford was a little more scalded.LOL! I see Gene a lot at Punta Gorda. His boy, who was either not born yet then or was real little, is racing a little now. He doesn't have a regular ride. I have taped at A-dale and Citrus lately and I have seen Eddie King several times. Another old timer from that era Denny Meyer. Do you remember him? Him and his brothers ran those old Mustangs in the figure eights back then. I taped at Citrus 2 weeks ago and the Pro figure eights were racing. Man that was like old times. I have really missed them. They run there and A-dale. Give me a call some time and we;ll go over old times. talk to you soon. Bob....
Oh yes I just have to find them. I am trying to organize my old masters. I was looking for the one where Bill Miller and Clyde cole hit in the intersection.
I loved the pro figure eights. Bob...
That's better. probably have that. It'll take me some time to find it. That wa the year before I started mastering on DVD. I'll look when I can and give you a shout. Bob...
