When I left for Vacation one time, I gathered my crew, told them so and so was in charge. Everyone was to do as he asked, no B.S. "Ok to question him but don't give him griefe, do as he says. If you think he was wrong tell me about it when i return and he and I will discuss it. But AGAIN, his words are my words when I'm gone and I will not go against him. How does that translate to racing? When the tech guy makes a decision, someone gets DQ'd or whatever, it sticks. If the tech was wrong the race director or whoever discusses it with him during the week and they get on the same page, but none of this crap of the director overuling tech. How will anyone respect tech if the director comes over and over rules tech?? BIG mistake!!
