Asphalt Raceway was asleep along the way, but most of all the big ol' 3/8 mile dirt track known as North Florida Speedway. What a riot it was to be there again, with the UDLMCS traveling circuit in town. Gigantic show for $15 bucks.
---12 big heat races, 5 grand feature races, starting at 7:30PM and ending at exactly 11:37PM. And it was non-stop race after another.
Almost 92 machines in the pits. Non-Stop action all the way around. Well worth the 2.5 hr. drive time there, and back again.
The dirt surface took an odd turn for bitter-hard after the heats, but that's dirt track racing for the night, as usual. Packed grandstands, parking lot and pits. This place has it going-on.
Visited all night long with our old friend RSB, super-cool dude, talked with StringBean, Alaska54, met RAZ, and a few others.
This Raceway isn't so far away, at it once seemed, anymore, and I'll be around again.
