Jane, A lot if people didn't know the personal side of Dennis. Talk about your ticket, when my wife (now EX) had breast cancer back in 1996, she lost all her hair of course. She was at the shop 1 day to visit, and he said something about her wig and how un-natural it looked (not in a mean way, but a concerned way). He said to Sandy do they make one's that look more natural. She sad yes, but they cost a few hundred dollars and we didn't have it at the time (no insurance either). He reached in his pocket at that moment and gave everything he had to her and said "Go get a good one and if there is not enough to cover it, come back and i'll give you more. There was over $600 dollars there. Not many people would do that. Sorry about running off at the keyboard.

I understood your question David about the memorial race and as usual, it got blown way out of wack like they do. Maybe Mark was having a bad day and just took offense but I am sure there are many who would love to see a Dennis Boyd race whether at a fascar track or any other track. Dennis worked for alot of people over the years and yes, he had a kind heart and helped people when they least expected it. I think you told me about the wig incident right after Dennis passed but only shows there is goodness in all of us.

As far as the carrot thing on a bumper, that just shows how immature and childlike you and other adults can be by pulling juvenile type pranks. RP68. When jason came in the pits to change tires, the announcer, Mark started saying that the best Jason could finish now was 5th (only 5 cars left running at this point) because you are only allowed to change 1. Apparently there was an official there that witnessed it. I donno. And Mark announced it several times over the P.A. system. So that's what we heard and so one of the guy's who helps me on the car radioed to Chad if Jason gets up to him just to let him go because of said/announced violation (did I mention several times?). So Chad of course did. As far as the win, (really no fault of Mark's) we were leading at the time with only a few laps left when the caution came out for Jason. No caution we had a big enough lead to win. So now apparently FASCAR let's the lead car choose inside or outside on restarts with double file restart(like NASCAR). Outside was bad choice this nite. So when all the bitching was done, Butch was soooo fusterated over the whols senerio, he just made an executive decision that everybody gets scored as they crossed the finish line. No wonder he is so Gray.

I announced what was relayed to me from the Officials... and YES Dave I did mention it several times... My job is to inform the fans of what is happening on the track... that is why I mentioned it several times...

If you truly believe that I was trying to 'cost you a position' than you my friend are the 'pinhead'...

Besides... weren't you the one that mentioned two weeks ago about the Pit P/A Speakers not working? So I fixed them last week... waited for you to show up... and used them against you?

I probably should not have even responded to this thread... but I will not have some 'pinhead' say that I cost them something on the track when I did nothing wrong.

Yes there was some confusion over the rule and the outcome (contrary to popular belief... people at the track, even Officials are HUMAN and in a crazy environment such as a race track there can be confusion sometimes... again, people are HUMAN)... That has nothing to do with me... I can only work with the information I am provided with.

I'm glad it's only the Officials and Staff that are expected to be Perfect 100% of the time... God knows if we held every racer (car owner) to that standard we would be left with much to be desired on a few occasions!

As for now, as I stated earlier... unless I am directed to do so (or have to defend myself against a petty and juvenile accusation)... I will not be likely to post on this board in the future.

Actually I was returning the favor from a past post where I was referred to as a 'pinhead' by the same individual. Just trying to get down to his level!

But you are right, I forgot, this is the place for accusations and name calling, but only if it's directed at a particular track, staff member, or official... just as long as your not defending yourself or responding back.

You can always have your thread closed after you post where no comments can be added and just the thread stands alone. You had 1160 hits on your thread and 145 on the other board so alot of people did read your posting for the race.

I really don't think David was trying to start trouble when he asked about a Dennis Boyd Memorial and you gave him an answer as to when one would happen and you got a sponsor. I think enough people loved Dennis that it should not be that hard to find people to sponsor a race in his memory. Then things went crazy as usual and that is where closing the thread would have helped you. You would have your pre-entry list up and that would be it.

And I am sure everyone will admit that all this silly pickering does not help Florida short track racing at all but hurts it. We are suppose to work together to repair it and make it what it should be and instead everyone wants to fight over very silly things.

Anyway, hope everyone has a nice Sunday. Got to take my grandson home since he was here for the weekend.

Mark, There you go again flying off the handle. I KNOW IT WAS INFO PROVIDED TO YOU. We just took said info and relayed it to the driver. I again know it wasn't your call.
