Orlando Speedworld drivers, crews and fans !

I will be starting tomorrow as the General Manager at Orlando Speedworld. I am going to work very hard to create a new atmosphere and attitude at the track. I want to create fun, famlily, community oriented racing. I will be looking for some helpful volunteers to help me find ways to do that. I want to start a group to create fun things to involve kids, community groups etc. I want to get a sponsor for a new playground for kids, safe and fun. I want to improve the show, get drivers back and build the car counts. I am asking drivers to call me, meet with me, talk to me. I want to see what we can do to try some new things, think outside the box and get racing back. I will be out in the community setting up special events, promoting the track an our drivers. I will need drivers to help promote the track setting up at events etc. I love Orlando Speedworld, the drivers, crews, officials and fans and want it to succeed. If you are willing, if you want to help please let me know. I need all of you to help and I promise to work hard on your behalf. I am available 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. everyday except, Wednesday night and Sundays as they are my church times. Congratulations Rick on being named General Manager. You have alot of racers from Brevard County and if you need help setting up a car date or trying to find a place to have some cars show their stuff, let me know and maybe I can help. You know Ron Dicandio has a great program he does with the cars for kids at our local schools. I have gone with him a few times and it really is a good program and helps promote racing instead of drugs for our kids. But if you need any help in Brevard, just let me know and I will try and help.

There are alot of cars out there just sitting and not racing anymore and I hope someday they will come back. It won't happen overnight for sure but hopefully in time and hard work some will come back.

Anyway, congrats on being named General Manager.
