The Florida Midget Auto Racing Association (FMARA) ran race number three of their eighteen race schedule Saturday night April 10th at the Charlotte County Motorsports Park in Punta Gorda with Sarasota veteran driver Jack Duffy making a late race pass of Ted Durfee to claim his first feature of the season. Durfee, also of Sarasota, who was trying to make it three features in a row this season, quickly moved from last to first to gain the lead on lap eight, from Cape Coral’s Geoff Styner. Duffy followed Durfee into second before making his pass for the lead and the win on the final lap. Durfee finished second in the race with Styner third, Mike Belusar of Punta Gorda fourth, and Spring Hill’s Jamie Barnum fifth. Geoff Styner won the preliminary heat race.
