Dirt - Williams Grove. They've got it all - speed, killer car counts with disturbing quality, a couple of grooves to run, amazing history, awesome fan access to the infield, helpful staff, little caesar's pizza and a go-kart track next door if you get there early.

Asphalt - I did dig I70 Speedway when I went there ten years ago with the Porter Cable team, but locally my favorite is Citrus County, hands down. I always leave there satisfied.

Dirt: Riverside in West Memphis, Devil's Bowl outside Dallas, Ascot (RIP). Honorable mention: Mitchell Speedway in Fairbanks, where, thanks to the midnight sun, is the only place I know of where you can watch sprint car racing at 11 p.m. with no lights.

Paved: Colorado National, Slinger, Toledo, San Antonio (RIP)

Of all time: Twin Ring Motegi in Japan -- heated toliet seats, brand new (not blemished) tires in the tire walls, and after the race, all the Japanese fans pick up all the trash and leave the place spotless.

It's the famed Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Easley, South Carolina.

My favorite dirt track has to be another South Carolina track. Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney was 1/2 mile, high banked, and scary fast too! Great racing! I hear the place has been downsized now though. Probably not half of what it used to be.

So why not Ocala? Well, in all honesty the asphalt racing at Ocala pretty much sucked. The place NEVER should have been paved, especially with as little apparent planning as went into it. As a dirt track we'll all have to see what happens after February 29th. I'm betting that with Ocala's unique shape and the quality of the clay, it's gonna be pretty awesome.

You've been the what? 2 years? Your clueless. I was there when it was successful and a great deal of planning went into paving it by the owner who done it and by the last owners before Mike who made the last improvements. Where you get your information to absolutely degrade the people who had anything to do with the track while it was asphalt is beyond me. You don't like asphalt racing!, We get it! I've just heard about enough of the belittling of everyone or thing to do with that track before you came along, Your posts are like reading the rants of an unpopular school girl. Sorry if the truth hurts.

Todd, if you ever get back up there be sure to go. They've made some major changes since I left, but I hear the racing is still great. That's the only thing I miss about Wisconsin. billy

For dirt, it has to be the dirt track in Plymouth, Wisc. As for asphalt, I love Citrus County. Never had a bad night of racing there.
