Fire & Police Race to the Finish for MDA

Let’s have “FUN” for a GREAT “CAUSE”!!!!
The International Motorsports Academy will be hosting a ‘Race to the Finish’ kart race-off event to support the Police and Fire departments to raise awareness and resources for MDA while providing an outlet for competitive team building between departments. The Racing Event will consist of a Qualification Date and a culminating Final Race Event for the top qualifiers between Lee, Charlotte , Sarasota , and Desoto County departments. The drivers may qualify on either Sunday, April 11th or Monday April 12th at 2:30 PM for a $50 entry fee. (CLICK HERE)
Race Qualification will consist of a safety briefing and track tour, practice session, and two qualifying heats. Drivers will be qualified based on best lap times and be designated as either lightweight (under 190 pounds) or heavyweight (over 190 pounds). The top 18 drivers for each class will be moved on to the Semi Finals on April 17th during the Charlotte County Motorsports Park Races at 5:00 PM. The top 8 Drivers from each semi-final race class will race in a Final Main Event that evening. The Race Event Qualification includes the kart and all safety gear for a $50 entrance fee. Drivers that Qualify for the Main event will be charged a $50 entry fee with 40% going to the MDA charity fund.
