Boy was it fun yesterday... Things started out a bit rough for all of us but we were eventually blessed with a really beautiful day...
    1) Finally got to meet Jim Fenton and family... such nice people.
    2) Finally got to meet Ricky the Model Car Man... can this guy do fantastic work or what!!
    3) Don'l Burkhalter looked great!!
    4) Everyone should have a chance to hang out and shoot the breeze with Chaplain Bill Ross... what a great guy! Was nice to finally meet his wife as well..
    5) Joyce Lankford should be commended for doing an absolutely outstanding job!!
    6) I was wondering if Carl Addy's spectacular exit from the track in turn two was staged as part of the event.. His car owner Stuart Lycett said "I'll let you know after I see the repair bill."
    7) Will Cagle brought an old photo album. Didn't realize he had raced at Sunbrock.
    8) Speaking of Sunbrock Speedway, Kathy Ray had an old scrap book from 1957 (Her dad was legendary FL driver Dave McInnis) and there was a clipping of a day at Sunbrock where they held stock car races and a rodeo on the same card!!
    9) A lot of the DAARA guys stayed and put on a great show!!
    10) I think the final race of the day should have been a match race between Pat Bresnehan and Cush Revette, Sr.!!

So much fun... can't wait til next year...

    I’ll second that emotion.

It was great finally to put a face with the name and spending a few minutes chatting with you too Dave.

Good to meet some Karnicians that I haven't met yet and some old friends as well, too many to mention.

I especially enjoyed doing the interviewing for the Blast II DVD as it gave me a chance to speak again to such greats as Bobby Brack, Will Cagle and Dumont Smith to name a few along with a few local favorites such as Billy Bectelhiemer (sorry if I missed the spelling there Billy).

I’m sure some of you might find certain responses interesting as I posed the question to most that I interviewed; “What would your advice be to a short-track owners or promoters to achieve better solidarity among classes, to up the fan attendance as well as upping the car count especially the more competitive cars”?

I thought a lot of racers such as Jim Brinkley Sr., Ronnie Rohn and Will Cagle to name a few had some good insight there as well as the response from one well known individual who has certainly “been there, done that” with Sunshine Speedway, Eau Gallie Speedway and Citrus County Speedway – Mr. Jack Donahey.

My apologies to those racers who I asked to stand-by for interviews but then we ran out of time and never got to as Bob had to break down the interview portion and start taping the races.

A few that comes to mind there are Kenny Alderman and Frank Barfus. Sorry guys!

As Dave said, all in all it was a great day with exception of the loss of Billy Hancock which of course cast a sullen cloud over the day’s events.

Thanks to Joyce and all that contributed for putting on such a great show!

10-4 on a GREAT show Jim. You guys are going to love the interviews. Jim did an outstanding job on the them. I can think of a few promoters who may benefit greatly from watching this DVD. The interviews were in depth that you would expect to hear Chris Economacky doing. LOL! The weather couldn't have been better. I don't know the actual count but there seemed like a lot of people that showed up for the Blast. I talked to Joyce last night and she has had a lot of calls telling her she did a great job, and I second that. Bob...
