  • Wayne Anderson and Mike Breshnahan to dance on dirt

Wayne called and has purchased a new Master Built dirt late model and will join us at Ocala.

Mike has also purchased a Master Built.

Two more great competitors to watch on the dirt. It's gonna be freakin off the hook.

Jeez, I hope they don't slow dance. That would be gross.

Agreed, it will be cool to see two pavements specialists try to figure out the most complicated cars in short-track racing.

Now this I have to see!

I think that if a late model racer wants to get a good paycheck these days they have to look at dirt.

If Anderson and Bresnahan are running the season opener for the late models at Ocala then I'll definitely have to make my way up.

I think they have a big show Feb. 28, a $3,000 to win Late Model race. Should be a dandy. We'll have a story up on Ocala.com shortly about the big-name drivers making the switch.

Maybe the "Dirt Revolution" is beginning?

If so, it's about time Florida caught on to a much more exciting form of racing. I grew up watching asphalt racing but damn is it boring the last 5 years.

Dirt late models, mods, and sprint cars are way more exciting!

Alright, we just posted a story on drivers that will race on Ocala's dirt next year. I'll be updating it throughout the day, so check back early and often. You can see it on http://blogs.myspaceocala.com/Home/t...1/Default.aspx or Ocala.com.

The first show is 2/29/08, Friday night at Ocala. I think Kenny has about 20 or more cars pre registered. Mike has 3 other classes runnings with our Late Models.
It looks to be a good season, we have 2 shows at ocala this year, 2 at Clewiston, 3 at Eastbay. 1 at East Alabama, 2 at North Florida, 2 at Golden isles in Ga., 1 at CCMP on asphalt, 1 Way Cross Ga Speedway. and 1 at Screven speedway in Ga. I am looking forward to it. I am going to enjoy traveling with the series. My wife is going to be able to go with me. 15 vacations a year. Ain't bad HUH! Bob........

So what's the word on Jeff Choquette?

No one wanted to believe me when I said it last year, but I would be willing to put money on the fact that you will see him do more dirt and less asphalt. And looks like he's going to run some of the new Florida tour with his brother.

As good as he is on asphalt, he was supposed to be the man on dirt in a late model. If he can't get a break in a bigger asphalt series than Sunbelt, why not go the dirt late model route and make a plan to be on the World of Outlaws tour in two years? I guarantee you he could make a good living on that tour.
