I had a great day at the kart track yesterday with Edm, Andy S., Michael Seay and my oldest son. In case you are wondering what Andy looks like, here is a picture of him driving the #2.

Yes Phil, that is where we went. Its quite a concept! They have an excellent kart track, a 1/8 mile drag strip and a road course.
Currently, they appear to be attracting street performance cars, but are open to racecars too. If I can ever get things settled down with all 3 cars, I'd like to take one out there to try the road course for a few laps.

last oct--
Boneman, I think that this is the 'plex I happened upon last Oct. while doing services and calls in that area; I called you, and some other guys about it back then, told you all about it---a new raceway to knotch in the belt. Thanks alot for returning the call, LOL.
It looked like it was tightly shaped into an old parking lot/industrial park area, drag strip and cart-track were there, but I didn't see anything like a road course for cars, or anything like that; maybe in the future, but then it didn't seem to be all there.

The track is owned by Pete Madison, who owns 500 acres of industrial land out there. The 40 acres the tracks are on was a staging lot for Chrysler vehicles that came off lease, and when Chrysler stopped leasing vehicles, he turned it into a race track. Pete has spent nearly $2 million on the place. The drag races are interesting -- a week ago there was a 70-year-old guy with an Arctic Cat snowmobile with wheels in the runners and a flat belt driving it -- he went 106 mph in the eighth-mile. Also had members of the Golf Kart Racing Association on the track, and would have had Benny the Bomb blow himself up, but the fire department wouldn't sign off.

About Andy...
Andy has graciously accepted our request to write the story at the Jack Smith Funraiser. His story will NOT be posted on the message board . It will be on the KARNAC.com news section. I will post a link for those who need it when the time comes.
This is no reflection on any other writers. Andy has contributed alot to racing in the short time we have known him. He is willing to participate in just about anything... without even having to be asked. We want to keep people like Andy involved because he is not only a wonderful, funny, INTELLIGENT, and warm person...he is not talking... he is doing! We are lucky he came along... ;-) There is NO drama when Andy takes on a challenge. He just does it. ;-)so Andy Sandall fans... smile. its all good!
