I don't know who did what to who or whom and really don't care right now. I like coming on this board to find out what is going on in racing at the local tracks. Right now I think we all need a change of pace...
With the new racing season starting soon, I want to know where do you plan on racing at? Are you taking a break from the sport or are you building a new car or cars? Are you changing tracks whether it be from one asphalt track to another or changing over to race dirt? Or are you building your first car or driving someone else'e car this year?
I'll go first... I am trying to make a comeback to racing once again. Things have really difficult with out family financially and health wise. Last week, my husband was offered a new position at work with more hours but not a pay raise. He is a mechanic through a local dealership and when you are paid flat rate with no work coming in equals no pay. He is now in the collision center as the only mechanic and has he ever been busy. With this new schedule it will make it hard for him to get to OSW to help me with the car so I might be changing over to dirt at Volusia. I like going to OSW only because it is close and I don't mind driving the truck pulling the trailer by myself. My problem is not knowing what all I need to do to my car for set up. Willing to learn as much as I can and working on it. The car needs to be re-painted and it will be Petty Blue, I hope, since I do have a Dodge and it is #43. Added to the car will be "Racing for a Cure". I am raising money to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes. My son has had to battle this disease for over 13 years and we raise money every year for our walk which is to take place March 6th. What little bit I get from finishing a race will go to JDRF in finding a cure. The race car will also be taken to some car shows too. I want to start having fun again, itsn't that what it is all about.
There is no need to get on this post and degrade people or tracks just because you have a grudge against them. I just want to see something different on here. Try to be nice...
Everyone have a great day!!!
