Cindy and I want to wish Jack and his family the best. I have to admit that Jack and I have never really "clicked" and I have reason to hold a grudge or two but I don't. Disagreements be damned! We don't have to get along to respect and care for one another! Jack has done a lot for racing and those who are in the Florida racing family, so now it is time for all of us to return the favor regardless of anything in the past.

    Get well, Jack!

Thoughts and Prayers coming your way....

Once again Carol you have come though for the people in racing. Thank You! Let Jack and his family know that they are in our prayers. It must be very scary for them and they need to know that we all are there for them. I have been through a back surgery with my husband and it is no joke, tumor also. He is doing much better thanks to our racing family. You take care and sending my love and prayers.

                    Jack is in our prayers

I consider Jack a close personal friend as well as a mentor. I have learned a great deal from him over the past few years and have always admired his commitment to the success of short track racing.

As many have said, and I have personally witnessed many times, Jack works as hard if not harder to promote our sport here in Florida and now he needs our help. In prayer, and in financial support too.

Jack, you are an awesome and very strong person, and I know you will make it through this tough time with flying colors. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I am here for you with whatever help and support you need.

God Bless my friend and a speedy recovery!!

Jack and I have certainly had our differences, but that has NOTHING to do with the way I feel about him as a person. His influence, through Karnac, goes much further than the boundaries of our state. Of course, all the local tracks know of Jack & Karnac, but it was when I went "on the road" for some races that I found out how far-reaching his work actually goes. When I went as far as Northern Pennsylvania for an ARCA Series race, there was no question at all about my "Karnac Media" credential, and was welcomed with open arms. Same thing in Rome GA, Cleveland TN, Moulton AL, Talladega Short Track and several others.

Long and short of it, is that Jacks work with this site (that everyone knows about), and all the other things that aren't as public (that most people don't have a clue about), he is respected in MANY places in the racing community... not just "our" community.

As the word spreads of Jacks health, I'm sure he will receive well-wishes from all over the country. That, in itself, is very impressive.

Sorry about writing a book here, but I felt the need to send out a little more than just a simple "get well".

Jack & the entire Smith Family... I'm pulling for you, and if there's any way I can help out, please call on me.

Hi Everyone! I am Summer, One of jack's daughters and we all want to say thank you and so does my dad for the nice things all of you have put up here on this message board. It's very nice to see how many people love and care for my dad. We all love him very much and hope that this will all be behind us soon, it is very scary not knowing what to expect or what is going to happen next. He is a strong man and i don't intend to let him be any thing else. I can't even begin to tell you how much it means to my dad to know there are so many people praying for him. I can tell how much it means to me.... Thank you all soooo much!!!!
As soon as he is feeling well enough he will be able to read all of your posts himself and he will be able to reply, he will love it!!

I'm greatly saddened by the news of Jack's health. The last time we saw each other he said his back was feeling better. My love and prayers go out to Jack, Kathy and his family.

Once local fundraisers are planned let me know so I can help promote them.
