6:00 - The Big Block Modifieds are now coming on the track for their very first time. They will run 10 lap heats with 5 qualifying for the A-Main, the rest must race the B-Main to get into the A-Main. A few of the Late Models have gone home but still well over 60 something here. Going to be a great night, cold, but great.
Group 1 of the Big Block Modifieds has just run with the #34 of Andy Bachetti setting fast time of 17.663. Sorry missed the fastest for group 2 but group 3 the 98H of Jimmy Phelps was fastest with a 17.854. Larry Wright was fastest in group 4 with a 17.846. So far Andy Bachetti has the fastest time of all four groups. DIRTcar Late Models come out soon with 68 in the field. So far Dennis Erb, Jr. has the time to beat in the Late Models with a 16.689.

Brady Smith was going to win the B-Main and on the last lap going to the checkered lost it and now sits against the wall with a small fire underneath it. Possible oil line broken. Tim McCreadie leads followed by Eric Jacobsen in first and second spots right now, one lap to go. Tim McCreadie has won with Eric Jacobsen second and both go to A-Main. Next up, second consi race for Lates. Remember, only two transfer to A-Main. Earl Pearson, Jr. has won the second B-Main followed by Randy Korte both now going to the A-Mains. Jack Sullivan has won the final B-Main for the Late Models followed by Tim Fuller. Tyler Ivey did not make the show tonight nor did Chuck Julien, the two Florida drivers.
Up next the A-Main for the Big Blocks. Lap 2 caution is out for #1p Billy Pauch who has spun in turns 1 and 2. Darwin Green leads the race for now followed by Dale Planck. Red flag is out for a huge wreck on the front stretch which was started by Brett Hearn. Involved #34 Andy Bachetti, #07 Tim Kerr, #0 Richie Pratt, jr., #48 Dave Raucher, #20 Brett Hearn, #85 Dan Vauter, #14 Jimmy Horton. It was Vauter that went into the air and rolled but so far they are saying everyone is okay although I can't say the same for the cars. They are still clearing the track for now. Ok, track is now cleared and back under yellow. The cars are moving again and it is now back to green.
Caution comes out again on lap 6 for Pat Ward who has a flat tire and brought out the caution. Ward has gone into the pits and crew is there with tire. Field getting ready to go back green again. Caution is out again as the field comes to the green for the restart and Jimmy Phelps spins going to the start/finish line causing others to spin to avoid him. All are okay and they are back to green again. Caution comes out again for Jamie Mills who has spun off the track in turn 4 and is slowly making his way around the upper pit road back back to the pits. Restart lap 10.
Darwin Green leads Dale Planck, Bobby Varin, Jimmy Phelps, and Rex King at halfway. The #22 of Mario Clair has now passed King and taken over fifth. Caution Lap 20 as Rick Laubach has driven directly into the big white tire at the entrance to pit road off 4. Laubach has called it a night and gone into the pits. Lap 28, 22 puts pressure on 98 but 98 holds his spot. Darwin Green has won followed by Dale Planck, Bobby Varin, Jimmy Phelps, and Mario Clair.
Late Models are up next for their final race of the night with the A-Main. It is 10:30 and the Late Models are set to go.
Fireworks are going off, the Late Models are lined up by 4 and waving their hands. PROBLEM: One car has lost his left front tire on the parade lap, the #00 Randy Korte. The race is green as Korte sits on pit road waiting for some help with his tire. Caution is out on lap 1 as McCreadie gets locked up in turns 1 and 2 and leaves the track. Jimmy Owens has now left the speedway while Korte takes his ride around the race track slowly. Shannon Babb is leading followed by Jordan Bland, Dale McDowell, Eddie Carrier, Jr., and Rick Eckert. Caution is back on the speedway again for Randy Korte who now has lost his second tire on the restart lap. Two tires in one race, a million to one odds but Randy Korte has done just that, lost two tires in one race before lap 2 is even in the books.
It is 18, 12, 17M, 9, 1, leading the way on lap 14. Earl Pearson is not in the top 10 yet but trying hard to get there. Pearson has now pulled off the track and gone into the pits. #12 Jordan Bland has brought out the caution as he spins coming off turn 4 while running third. Bland must now rejoin the field in the rear for the restart. Bland was good at keeping the car off the wall but it is sad that a car that was running so good must now go to the rear for the restart. Shannon Babb continues to sail away from the field as he leads the way over Dale McDowell. Babb has taken the win. More results to follow later.
