  • The Prelude

THe Prelude is being aired on SPEED from 8-10pm. SO far it is the best racing the nascar guys have put on all year.

THey had the WOW finals from Charlotte earlier. I have one question because I missed what happened....Kinser in the sprint final crashed while leading and when they went back to racing he was leading again. How did that happen?

yeah, i'm not sure what's happening, Speed has actually started showing some racing again. "Get Back to Dirt" was rerun again earlier today as well.

maybe the Speed execs are actually starting to notice all of the s4!t they're catching on their own forums for all of this Pinks/Unique Whips/Payback crap they're playing.

      Cherish This Post...

As most everyone knows... I am NOT a Dirt fan... that being said... I thoroughly enjoyed the 'Prelude' race...

Would be nice to see something similar done on asphalt... maybe in a Bomber Class!

The Kinser that hit the wall was Kraig Kinser...Steve started on the front row and lead all 30 laps...All I know is that last night's shows hit the spot...Now just have to find a way to watch the Chili Bowl next weekend.

          Haud,

I saw that the Chili Bowl is being shown live (the final night) on Pay per view. I live in Orlando and have Brighthouse. Not sure of your location or TV situation but it is worth looking into.

Thanks Haud, I didn't realize they were both racing...

Orlando Graphix...they used to have Nascar drivers do a charity race at NSS during testing at Daytona. Not quite to the extent of the Prelude but usually had 6 or 7 guys and they drove local guys LLM's. Usually had a huge crowd also. If I remember correctly, Randy Dye had a lot to do with it and it was usually DOdge drivers.

I really enjoyed when they had the charity event at NSS. I actually brought my car one year and we had almost 40 Super Stocks on the track and 3 of us were female drivers. The announcer stood on the track at the front straightaway and announced the drivers. My car wasn't set up for NSS but boy did I have fun until we tried to go 4 wide in turn one with one car going backwards.

As for the NASCAR drivers, the year we were there Mark Martin, Kyle Petty, Johnny Benson, Benny Parson (miss him) and not sure who else. If you were a driver, you and two people got in free and were allowed in the hospitality tent to meet the NASCAR drivers. I personally had my picture taken with Benson and Parsons and Petty signed one of my shirts.
