We have found out that in fact the top-five cars were DQed due to being too soft on the tire durometer check. The win will go to Lonnie Sommerville. We will have a full rundown here shortly.

Ricky has the perfect personality for tech. It's not hard to see that he is a fan of EVERY racer. He likes everyone, treats everyone the same, but if your wrong your wrong. If the guy behind you is wrong (or the three after him), he's wrong too. He gets it.

Can't tell you how much bitching has gone on from racers trying to get right in tech so they can race. Ricky does his best to get the racers right before the race so that he doesn't have throw them out in post tech.

The purpose in tech is to help drivers make their cars legal, not throw them out. But when found illegal after the race, you do what you have to do (dq)and encourage them to get right and come back.
