Night 2 wasn't as good as Night 1 from my perspective. The track was quick , but took rubber early and ended up being pretty much a single groove on the high side. Sprints are always exciting to watch though.
The fan pass is really cool, for me, because I can walk around when i first get there and get some additional insight into the drivers, cars, teams, etc. Being that the pits are outside the track, it is easy to go from stands to pits, etc.
I did not however understand the point of the six lap dash for the sprints - complete waste of time. As was the needed red flag to refuel them - wish they would have just run bigger tanks or something - i was fading fast and they only had 17 laps in the books.
I was probably most disappointed with the beer booth (between the stands - not the permanent one)..beer was good and the girl was cute, but she charged me $5 for a single bud light. There was no sign up w/ prices and she popped it prior to telling me how much, so I might have been played for a fool by shifting prices, but damnit man. I didn't even get in $2 worth of ogling.
Now that pork chop sammich was a thing straight from heaven...I always forget to ask him what the hell that mystery marinade is he slops on it right before heating it up.
So, ticket $29, beer $5, pork chop sammich $5 sody pop & snickers $5 - that plus gas is about $50 i dropped on them last night - unfortunately the show wasn't worth it. Now the night before, it was - kinda like playing the lotto at a dirt track i guess.
If it doesn't rain out - NSS is next on the list.
