  • Little 500 pictures are up

Many, many thanks to Mike Fettig for shooting hundreds of images at the kart track last week. In keeping with the laid back nature of the event, he has graciously offered to send the photo images at no charge, or print out professional copies "at cost". Contact Mike for details and pricing.

I can assure you that Mike's pix are 10 times better than the snapshots I take (like Chad's portrait below).

I guess if I had known who was in the cart in front of me, I would have bump drafted a little harder......

Guilty as charged for 'ruff drivin'. Great job on the pics Mike.

I am still working on making the individual ones larger. I had intended that once you clicked on a thumbnail photo that it would open into a photo much larger than is happening. I am going to work on it some more after I get through at my day job.

Can't wait for the bigger ones to come out. Then we can start telling the stories of the night with photographic proof to back us up!

He left pretty early on, absolutely disgusted that Billy Cuddy and then Timmy Walters were passing him with ease despite him taking it so seriously! I'm not sure he liked the rough driving either, as after a couple of races most people started 'blocking' him.

Man, I don't think you coulda wiped that grin off Andy's face with a wet mop and some Pine Sol...LMAO

Andy, glad you came out and great to meet ya! There's only one or two pics of Kyla and I, but damn...it was a VERY fun night.

We'll have to do this four times a year and keep point standings...LOL

Can you tell I was having an absolute blast out there?

Those photos tell some great stories. I love the sequence that shows me turning T-Mac and leaving him stranded in the corner, but there's another one there showing me being pushed out wide by Flraceguy and dropping 4 places back by the next lap. I'm so please Mike was there to capture all these shenanigans for posterity.

FWIW I think the person having even more fun out there was Jarret Korpi. I love how he's been captured here right at the moment of impact - look at the grimace on his face from the hit!

I am glad you all are enjoying them. It kills me though to see them too small to see the details. Even if I have to start over I am going to try and fix that by tonight.

Good pics Mike. What trouble are you having? Did you reduce the size of the file? I do a fair amount of still work. I use a Cannon D450. Bob..

90% of the photos had a 1200 pixel width but somewhere in between leaving Photoshop and my website uploading them they were reduced to 400 wide. There is an adjustment in the software to adjust the size they are viewed at but when I increase it, it resets to 400. I am going to create another gallery when I get home with only a few and see where I went wrong, then hopefully fix the big gallery.

Do you still have the files on a card? I had that happen to a file a couple months ago. I still don't know what happened. I ended up dumping them back in the computer and starting over. Worse last month We sold 2 8x10's and when I went to print them the file size was way small. The largest size I could get was a 4x6 and it looked pretty good. I still owe that dude 2 8x10s. Thankfully I know him and he is alright with it. The worse part is it was his first win of the 2009 season. Don't that just figure??? Bob..

Ok, I took the advice and started over with the whole gallery. I made the thumbnail images bigger and the individual images larger as well. Thanks for everyone's patience.
