  • CMP Taking Shape for 2010

Things are starting to look good for the grand re-opening of CMP.

Driver response is looking good with drivers calling about the 2010 season.

Sponsorships are starting to take shape with Racing Electronics, Impact Racing, Gonzalez Site Prep, Blankenship Asphalt, Sun State Collision Center of Stark, Huddle House Restaurant, Phish Heads, Ted's Painting and City Boys of Lake City coming on board. WE are still looking for the list to grow.

Repairs to the track surface in turns two and four are complete and came out looking good. I held my officials meeting on Saturday and believe we have an excellent crew put together.

    Remember or February Schedule
2/6 Swap Meet from 8am to 1 pm, $15.00 vendor space, shoppers are free
    Followed by:
Open Practice from 2 pm to Dark , $12.00 per person in pits

2/9 Tentative - Race Car Display at Kazbors in Lake City

2/13 Open Practice from 1 pm to Dark , $12.00 per person in pits
Race car display at City Boys of High Springs 9am to noon

2/20 Open Practice from 1 pm to Dark , $12.00 per person in pits
Race Car display at Honeycutts Car Lot in Lake City 9am to noon

    Thanks again

Good to see the effort being put into your new venture. Best of luck with it, and be sure to schedule a mini stock race so I can come up there!

Good luck Rick......thats a great track and deserves to thrive..... love the country setting....have always loved LM races up there......have camped over night many times.

If anyone can pull this off, you can...I see you are already going out to the community and getting them involved. Wish I lived down the road from that track...I'd be super involved with everything going on... but I'm down in Tampa and its way too far for weekly races for sure... but looking forward to some big races....

      Good Luck Again Rick
Thank a Police Officer for what they do........... OSF:

Great job Rick, everything sounds like it is moving forward. The drivers are talking positive and sounds like your getting the community involved in the place again. It will take alot to get it where you want it but I believe you are the man that can get it there. Keep up the great work.
