LN Reports Million Dollar Legends Race Details Due Out on Sat.

The biggest buzz in the Legends Car nation has been the announcement of the Million Dollar Legends Car event by Speedway Motorsports Inc.’s Bruton Smith, however specific details have not been officially released.

LegendsNation.com spoke with U.S. Legend Cars General Manager Ken Ragan this week. Ragan confirmed with LN that specific details about the event, as well as the 2010 INEX championship purse and other announcements, will be made Saturday night at the INEX International Awards Banquet at the Speedway Club at Charlotte Motor Speedway (NC). LN will be on hand for the announcements and will have that and driver reaction next week on LegendsNation.com.

Bruton’s Millon Dollar Announcement Moved to Wednesday

The most-anticipated announcement in Legend Car history has been pushed back a few days to help bring more attention to the scale cars.

During the 2009 INEX Awards Banquet on Saturday, January 16th, at Charlotte Motor Speedway (NC), Don Hawk, SMI Vice President of Business Affairs, spoke to the crowd in length on the big announcement, dropping hints throughout his speech, but not completely spelling out the big race event that Bruton Smith, SMI’s Chairman of the Board, referenced on a radio program one week prior. Hawk did say though that the announcement will be made Wednesday morning at the Embassy Suites, located in Concord (NC), during the NASCAR media tour. The choice for the change was due to making the announcement while all the international media is listening.
