Ben Rowe was a regular at Speedfest in Lakeland at USA International. We would represent the North of course but never stayed over for the World Series but that is where I met Ben. Have never met Johnny Clark but if he races like Ben, he will definitely give the guys a great run. But glad Ben is coming.

Here are the last results from Speedfest in Jan. 2008 with Ben in the field.

These two guys together are what you could consider ''la crème de la crème'' of the North East Super Late Model asphalt racing for the last 10 years. Rowe has always driven somebody else's equipement, and always top notch it is, and Clark drives his own cars.

These are 2 of THE best LM racers in the country right now. Ben Rowe is an outstanding talent, Johnny Clark is right there with him. Cassius Clark is another that could bring a can-o-the-whoopass with him.

No kidding folks... the talent in the PASS series (both North & South) can hold thier own with anyone in the country.

This show has the potential to be another All-Pro or All-American Challenge Series... best-o-the best from different regions of the East Coast.

Jane that doesn't tell the story of Ben Rowe at Speedfest. In the big race he was leading with less than 10 to go I believe and he and Middleton got together. Rowe was out and Middleton was put to the rear. Rowe broke an axle or something but that wasn't told till after the race. With Rowe out it was Middletons race. But I guess that's racing. Sure makes me miss Lakeland and Speedfest. Anyway, it will be good to see some top caliber drivers that aren't intimidated by the Florida Mafia boys.

I watched both of these guys come up through the ranks when I lived in Maine. Both are very talented and drive top notch equipment. This will be the first time Ben will be driving for this team.Ben's dad Mike Rowe is still one of the best drivers I have seen in my 40 years of watching racing.

                Tim,

Basically I was just posting something that showed Ben had raced at Lakeland. And yes, I miss Speedfest also. Was a great time with alot of great guys. Heck, I miss USA International alot still. We had alot of great times there over the years. The first time I went to Lakeland for a Hooter's race, I might as well been at Daytona International. It was like a fairytale and the excitement filled the air. I will never forget how impressed I was with just the sound of the cars on the track practicing, I had experienced nothing like that before since I had only been to our local tracks. But it will stay with me forever.

Jane, the race you posted definately brought back a memory, That race made me a Kyle Busch fan. Between qualifying and the race he and his crew switched motors and he started dead last. From the start of the race he passed every car on the outside. I can still see the paint flying off the wall everytime he came off of turn 4. He got just as dirty as his crew changing the motor and then drove one hell of a race. He got my respect that day.
