Bugsy Stevens in a cool Camaro owned by the late Len Boehler. Later, Stevens teamed with Sonny Koszela in the famous 15, while Fred Desarro got into the Boehler "Ole Blue". Both continued winning in their new rides.

Bill Brainard , from Williamsville NY will be coming again. He and my Dad went to the same High School back around '59 - '60. His son Jay, is still a top runner in the NY Late Model circuit.

Shirley & Ken Morden will be there again this year, with her A-1 Coach, that hey bring down from Canada each year.

Their dedication to the Vintage car world is second to none... they are a credit to the Vintage car world

Larry and Diane Larivee have supported this from the begining, and their Bob Polverari tribute car has been an award winner, not to mention a hell of a runner too.

Richard Bowser was a guy that grew up far, far away from the Modified world. Yet, he found himself following and idolizing the greats from the Northeast. One of his goals in life, was to OWN one of those cars.... and he wound up with a pretty cool piece of history. This 67 Coupe was the LAST Coupe that ever ran at Islip Spedway on Long Island NY. Original driver, Bob Krollage also came last year, and seemed very proud of Richards restoration.

You ever want an adrenaline rush, just by taklking to someone... spend a few minutes with this guy!

Ed Ortiz was one of the hottest racers of his day, when it didin't matter if it was Dirt or Asphalt, or if it was Saturday or Tuesday... Ed was there, and winning quite a few along the way.

To meet him now, you'd think he was a fomer horse jockey, rather than a guy who had to wrestle the hell out of big cars with no power steering

Bill Spade (aka Paul Degl), a Long Island racer from back in the day, when he had to lie to his parents, race under an assumed name, and went on to become one of the All-Time greats at places like Freeport, Riverhead and Islip.

This is actually a "later on" pic... the first picture I found was from 1947. And he's still one sharp SOB to this day.... GREAT guy!

                            Others coming include:

George Pavlisko, bringing his Orange Crate Z-8 Vintage Mod

Dr. Dick Berggren, Mod & Supermod racer, Magazine Publisher and Nascar TV personality

Ed Ortiz, a top runner throughout NY State from the 5's into the 80's

Dave Rudenis, who has another Vintage Club, the Racecars of Yesterday that run on various FLA racetracks

Nick Ronca, who did a fine job racing around the Capitol District in NY. His 2 sons carried on the family tradition and are still winning races today.

Here's Georges Z-8, built as a tribute to Eddie Mumford.

This guy has been probably the biggest cheerleader we have for this event. He talks to people all over the East Coast of the US, posts pics on his business web-site... and nicest of all, donates the Helmets to be signed by the drivers and raffled off. Last year, i received one myself, and it's by far, my most cherished souvenir.

Once again George, thanks a million for all that you do!
