  • A Little Prayer would be greatly appreciated

Today Kathy Smith had surgery. Kathy is Jack's better half. I am sure Kathy and Jack both would appreciate a few extra prayers about now that Kathy get well soon.

For those of you who know Kathy, you know what a true warm person she is, she has to be to put up with Jack. She really is his better half and she and Jack both are in my prayers tonight.

Get Well Soon Kathy - the "ole" man needs you back home!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never met Jacks wife, but I wish her the best and speedy recovery.

Jack I will certainly put you and Kathy on my prayer list. The racing community is behind you all the way. If there is anything I can do don't hesitate to call. Bob...

I met Kathy once and found her to be most gracious and welcoming. Jack's family has struggled with persistent health problems; I certainly hope the new year is better for them.

Jack is a tough old bird but he always hangs in there. Kathy is a wonderful person who has battles this problem for awhile. I wish them both the best, for Ms. Kathy to come home soon, and Jack to finally find help with his back. You know it sucks when your back hurts and it is hard to do what you are normally use to doing. I know because my oldest son has a back problem also that no one seems to be able to help him with. He can basically do nothing right now but tell me how much it hurts. Even walking is hard sometimes.

I know that Jack and Kathy both appreciate the prayers and well wishes.

Like others, I've never met Kathy. I certainly wish her the best. I also wish Jack the best and hope to see him back at the track soon. I'd like to see him and his better half at a track soon. And I don't mean Rick.

Talked to Jack alittle while ago and he brought Kathy home just alittle while ago. Surgery went well and they found no cancer in her thyroid but did have to remove half of it. She took a pain pill and was out like a light after getting home. She is off the next two weeks and will spend that time recovering but everything looks good right now for her. I was very pleased to hear no cancer so my prayers were answered.

Jane, my wife had thyroid surgery about 4 weeks ago, and like Jack's wife, no cancer, but just so she won't worry, the scar is almost gone, she had no real pain, and never felt really bad. A little anxious before surgery, but that was all. She got out of the hospital on Sat. and we were at Church Sunday. While all operations are dangerous, this is one of the easiest and least dangerous. Thank God Kathy is doing ok. Our prayers will be with her as well as your family. billy
