The 2010 schedule is out for the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series, two divisions each paying a $10,000 championship prize.

What is hard for me to comprehend is that this is posted on 4M by RealracingUSA and not even on their own site. At least, nothing that I could find. We let real racing news go unposted for some of this other stuff? Just to claify, it's not on our message board. It is on the front page.

    Real good question Winger.

I like the idea that they are seperating the North & South series', as I think it was far too much out-of-state travel for any of the Tampa-area teams. The only ones who could hit both ends of the highway, are guys from the North Florida area... Collins, Fitzgerald, maybe Dillon Wood, Tyler Ivey.

Now, I think you'll see more guys try to follow the series since the travel is more reasonable.

On the other hand, I don't know who will follow the Northern series. There are a bunch of cars in those areas, but it's a pretty well-established Ray Miller/NLMS series territory.

I hope this works out for Ken, and if all goes well with BOTH series, maybe we will see a late season "Challenge" series between the 2 groups for big money... very much like the Hooters Cup series did. The top drivers from both groups, racing at just a few tracks in each region, for bigger-than-usual purses and a true "National" Champion.

Still don't understand why Florida wasn't the first to know about this...???!!!

I agree with you 100% Jerry. It was real hard for most to follow the complete series before.

Frontstretch, I meant that it wasn't on the RealRacinUSA board. (That it had been posted to the series board.) I read about it on 4M, where it had been posted by RealRacinUSA.
