  • Touring Series?

I think the GAS Series is the only remaining survivor of the multiple 2009 Pro and/or Super Late Model Touring Series of 2009.
    ASA Southeast Asphalt---no more
    ASA Southern Division---no more
CRA South---running a couple of events but no actual tour as of now
    Southern Pro---no more

I do know that the GAS Series is now owned by Fountain Motorsports, headed by Terry Roberts and teched by Rickey Brooks. I also think they will run the SuperTrucks as a companion to the Pro Late Models.

I think PASS South still exists and is running at New Smyrna during SpeedWeeks.

I may be wrong on this but don't the GAS Series run crate motors? And if so is that why they may be the only one still racing. I don't know if anyone else is using that engine, but want that keep some cost down a little to help a series stay running? Like I said I may be wrong on all of this

The GAS Series has alot of crate motor options, I think built motors can be used as well. Overall, I think a pretty good formula.

Oh boy.. the PASS series and GAS have Open options of both crate and built motors... Hmmmm options for both types of racers and budgets and consistent teching... Could it be that that is a good formula... No major rule changes during the season... Consistent Car counts for the last couple of years...

Might it... might it... Hmmm... Could it be that they are trying to make the best of the situation to survive... Plus some great choices of tracks... I am very happy to see them at NSS...

I will PASS (pun intended) this on to OSF. He knows more about 'gas' than I do....
