  • What Did You Get?

Annual Gift giving and receiving time, once again, kids.
What did you get this year? I got a lump of coal.(J/K)
Actually, I hope you all received something, something, or gave out a special gift for someone.
It's nice to get to that age, where it feels better to give a gift than it is to receive a gift on Chritmas Day/Eve. I am showing my age here, with grown kids and all, family grown and out.

Myself? I received, a most wanted, a coffee bean grinder, with a whole host of bags of beans to along with it. I am, not kidding here, have been grinding and brewing coffee for six days straight, and it's a blast. My heart is racing, I am sweating in 11 degree weather, shaking on the keyboard, hovering above the ground with my feet not touching, and I cannot go to sleep--and I don't know why

    God bless coffee beans!!!

Welcome to the after midnight, too much coffee crowd Roger......

We only bought for and gave to the grandchildren this year. My wife and I exchanged gifts after that.
A very low key Christmas for us this year. Enjoy your coffee machine, we have had one for years.
    Happy New Year Roger.

RIP Jack Smith and Kim Brown. Many thanks for all you have done for our sport.

Hey Rog... cold as hell this morning.... what time will the next pot of coffee be ready... I'll bring the bagels!

I got the neatest thing (I am all about gadgets)... received this little "Pocket" picture printer you can send pic's from your cell phone via blue tooth... In one minute, you have this neat little picture (3 pac's of paper only $10 for thirty pic = .33 cents each). I have been showing this gadget to everyone I meet. Printer priced at $50, but sold over holidays for $30.

I, we, bought (3) Porsche 928's. This was going to be my money for a pavement vintage modified but the fact that these cars where SO CUTE to quote the boss they got a new home. Beat the heck out of the darn tie for sure.

I always lusted after the 928 when I was a teenager, but as an adult a mechanic friend of mine told me to stay away from them unless they are mint because the timing chains are a nightmare.

Back to the topic at hand, my birthday is later this week and I should be getting about 4-5 racing books, in theory, most of which are from Coastal 181, so that's what I am really looking forward to.
www.FloridaSprintCarFans.com - because Florida sprint car racing needs all the help it can get...

My Christmas was full of grandbabies and they were the ones I concentrated on mostly and a few other kids that are like my grandbabies. Got them mostly much needed clothes and maybe on toy each. But I found out that I love doing puzzles and put together alot of them and framed them for presents. Mickey Mouse, Pooh Bear, Tinkerbell and loved doing it. Just takes some puzzle glue, the puzzle and the most expensive thing was the frame.

Christmas was not big for us but really special with all the kids involved. I love watching them open their presents.
