Lil' 500 night, January or February?

For the past 3 years, we have held the Little 500 night in February, right after speedweeks, World Series, Winternationals etc... This year, there seems to be some pent up demand for an earlier version, so should we move it up to January, leave it in February, or have a smaller "ice breaker" version in the next week or so?

Also, there does not seem to be a Saturday anytime that does not have conflict with either a real race or a banquet. Would Friday night work ok? If we try it on Friday, we'll be the only game in town, but we may have to deal with a little bit of Orlando traffic. Constructive comments anyone?

Anything but the last weekend in January would work for me, as of course I'm racing at Daytona that weekend...

And naturally the week around World Series at NSS wouldn't be good either.

Right, I know where I'll be spending my day off on Wednesday now. Ahh, and the joys of working just down the road from the track too. Maybe some lunchtime practice, even!

I'll message you closer to the day, but it could be afternoon if you fancy it. I'd normally be at work but the Citrus Parade means there's no point being downtown that day so I have plenty of day to kill.

Of course if your son shows up with an oversize top hat on that is making a whirring noise and looks like it has a camera lens in the middle I might get a little suspicious...

I only live a few minutes from there also.

I have 29 years of experience on that track, and I might be able to help you get up to speed without spending a fortune trying to figure it out.

It may not look it, but that place is VERY tricky.

Mayhem in Maitland.....

This sounds like a fun and enjoyable evening....."sounds" like.

Nothing could be farther from the truth, my fellow suckers.

This is a nasty little hell-hole that claims to be a go-cart track, but, in reality, upon closer inspection, it is actually much closer to a greased pig contest wherein the drivers are the chasers and the track itself is the metaphorical greased pig.

And only after dropping untold amounts of cash for hundreds...nay, THOUSANDS of practice laps; after studying every little crack and nuance in the racing surface....AND after personally checking out and rating each and every cart in the track's inventory.....can anyone even hope to rival the effort put forth by the one and only, Bone-a-man, in his quest to become the unofficial, Lil 500 Champion.

A title which, undoubtedly, should propel him to instant fame and fortune within the Tri-county area and most of Eastern Titusville. A feat which, without question, is sure to make his parents and his middle-school guidance counselor very, very happy.

So.....with all that said....gimme a date and time.....

I have to say Monsieur Rex... Friday seems to be a good night as well.... When not racing or working on Race cars... Saturday is also poker night...

Jan. 8th, 22nd, or first and third Friday's in Feburary all work for me.
