February 13,2010 is opening night for the 2010 season at CCMP.- They have a 50 lap Truck race scheduled. It is also the last night of Speedweeks and they have a 50 lapper scheduled. Might be some conflicts???

...<sigh...> Why schedule something against New Smyna's *long-established* World Series...? That schedule's been out for a while now, and the World Series has been running for what, going on 40+ years now? Not a *bad* field of cars, there, either. But...again, tracks working *against* one another for fans. If I had the choice, I'd rather go to Samsula and see some of the state's best Super Late Models for their week-ending 100-lapper (isn't it the Pete Orr Memorial race?), the NA$CAR Tour Modifieds, and whatever support divisions are running, than travel all the way down to southwest Florida for a 50-lap Truck race. Plus, I'd bet a lot of fans will be at the big track for either the Busch - oops, Nationwide - race and not want to travel that far down.

I don't think a lot of trucks are going to travel that far any way. It got to be 200 miles or more. Chris Huntoon and Ross Chastain went to New Symirma last year but thats all I remember. Bob...

I wasn't thinking of the Trucks coming/going to New Smyrna; I was thinking of fans looking to be in Daytona, Volusia, or New Smyrna for that week. It's (the World Series, Speed Weeks) almost always the first big event of the year for most fans. If the fans are up north, I can't see drawing a good crowd that weekend at CCMP.

You might want to look at the weekend prior... The trucks will be running the last few nights of Speedweeks if memory serves me right... That way both tracks might benefit from working around each other's schedules....

            have a great day all...
