Unfortunately, Barbazons the Grill and Sports bar that was hosting our end of season banquet scheduled for Jan 9th just closed. This was unannounced and was a surprise. Right now the banquet is just postponed until we find another location and get the event rescheduled. Thanks

Ocala Speedway Banquet Postponed

ZUBER, FL- The sudden closing of a popular food and spirits establishment in Ocala has caught the owners of Ocala Speedway totally off guard and will force the postponement of the 2009 Ocala Speedway Banquet. The banquet had been scheduled for January 9th at Barbazons Sports Bar and Grill on highway 17, but as of today (Monday, December 21st) Ocala Speedway owner Mike Peters has discovered that Barbazons has closed.
Peters attempted to scramble and reserve another location, but found that with Christmas and New Years so close, it was next to impossible to negotiate another deal somewhere else in time for the originally scheduled date. Therefore Peters says he is resigned to the idea that the banquet must be postponed at least a week or two in order to make other arrangements, and to allow those who are attending to make alternate plans as well.
An announcement as to the new date, time, and location, should come shortly after New Years, and will be posted at www.OcalaSpeedway.com. Anyone with questions, or ideas as to an acceptable venue for the rescheduled banquet, can contact Mike Peters at the speedway by calling 352-622-9400.
