Due to the weather, not alot of cars came out to Volusia Speedway Park for the Holiday Convention Classic. But the cars that did, decided to stay and practice and have a dash for cash race. Both the Sportsman and Late Models will do a dash for cash, winner takes all, and the fans in the stands put up the entire purse. Fans came to see racing and when they were told they could get their money back because there were not enough cars to race, they decided to stay and somehow see a race. So one fan came, then two, then three, putting in $20 to see a race. Before Joe knew it, he had over $500 for two ten lap "dash for cash" features for the Late Models and Sportsman.

The fans have donated $920 of their own money for these two races. The Late Models will get $600 winner take all and the Sportsman will get $320 winner take all. These fans are serious about their racing and want to see a race.
