Racing is Cancelled tonight at Volusia Speedway Park

Sorry everyone but Mother Nature has halted all racing tonight at Volusia Speedway Park. Join us tomorrow night for the Late Models and Sportsman.

So the races scheduled for tonight will NOT be made up tomorrow? Well, y'all had me planning to be there while I assumed that you'd run tonight's events tomorrow, but if my assumption was wrong then maybe not. Could it be a conflict with East Bay? I'm not complaining. Just trying to figure out whether to try and make the trip or not. $20 is still too much (and $15 is as well) for two divisions in my book.

Tomorrow the Late Models go for 35 laps and $2500 to win with the Sportsman going for 25 laps and $1000 to win. Plus they did refund everyone's pit pass money so evidentally it was not rescheduled for tomorrow night. Still should be a good show B.J. If you do come, come up to the tower and say hello since we have not met yet in person.

I would like to come, but I gotta talk Cindy into it. Plus the forecast for tomorrow is about as crappy as tonight's is, so we'll play it by ear. Honestly, we love watching racing at Volusia and miss being there, so cross your fingers for us.

Yea I know. Today was 30% rain chance, tomorrow 60. But I told Tonya the 30% gets us more than the 60 and five miles down the road, it was not raining at all and had not rained. Guess the cloud just sat over Volusia mainly. Sucks big time but like she and I said, it happens.

Since I got a room for tonight, didn't want to drive back and forth from Merritt Island, am going to my grandparents' grave tomorrow in Deland and putting some flowers on them for Christmas. My son has never been there and really hasn't seem much of Deland so I am going to take him around. My mother grew up in Deland and I use to spend every summer here visiting my grandparents. So I am going to show him some things tomorrow that I never have time to do.
