I saw the post in question and in defense, the CFSC sactioning body pulled the plug early in the afternoon and it was posted on the web site. The in field was not in any shape to run a figure eight race. it was a saftey issue. The management scrambled to put on a show as best as they could given the circumstances. In my humble opinion it was a good show for just backbone classes. I would have rather seen what we had than a rainout which they very well could have done. The weather was not the best. I am sorry you had such an experience but come back and give us another chance. Thanks Bob..,..

Even if it was posted on the web-site, that's no excuse why the track didn't tell them.

And in the Eckels defense, they didn't have time to check the internet, I don't think... they had already spent the day at Sebring (which was part 1 of their blog). It wasn't relevant, so I didn't post that portion.

These 2 flew down from Bethlehem PA, for the sole purpose of seeing 2 new tracks they hadn't been to before (they count a Fig-8 race course as new, if they've only seen the oval track action at that particular track).

Believe this... they don't just fly around the country looking to bash race tracks. They are always looking for a diamond, and they never know where one might turn up.

Sometimes though, you get a turd.

It wasn't me who moved it so I am innocent in this. However I did read it when it was on this board but did not respond to it. But I am INNOCENT Jerry.

Hey, you coming this weekend to Volusia to see Kenny Schrader race Friday night??? Should be a blast. Let me know if you are coming so I can find you.

Bethlehem, PA? That's where I'm from...

I started to think, "that's insane behavior," but then again any excuse to leave Bethlehem this time of year is a good one I suppose.
